I painted the top half of Gus over the weekend. My $5 Craftsman spraygun started acting like a $5 spraygun, so it took a long time to get the top half done. I also discovered that if you mix hardener into paint, it eventually becomes hard as a rock…meaning you can’t save any paint you’ve mixed hardener into.
So…what to do with leftover Dakota Beige paint? Break out a paint roller and do a cheesy paint job of the roof and interior floor, of course! (paint purists, please avert your eyes now)
The rolled paint actually didn’t turn out too bad. With some color sanding, it should look decent. The next step – installing the windshield. Not really looking forward to that…
